Communication via geostationary skies,
The foundation on which space triumphs rise,
The APPLE satellite launch this nineteenth of June,
Was a milestone step that made the cosmos attune.
With rare resources and imagination boundless,
Our space scientists’ patriotism toiled soundless,
Spurning foreign shores, choosing their homeland’s grace,
No less than ancient sages, in a modern scientist’s face.
On a humble bicycle, Abdul Kalam wheeled the rocket high,
Salutations to Vikram Sarabhai’s spirit, touching the sky,
When bullock carts carried pristine parts through the lane,
Every step forged ahead on innovation’s grand domain.
The glory of today’s INSAT and ISRO’s stellar frame,
Belongs truly to these great minds and immortal names,
If we fail to remember their absolute devotion today,
Who would be more ungrateful than us, in every single way?
