Today, India celebrates Holi – the vibrant festival of colours, where people come together to apply dry pigments and throw colours at each other, symbolizing unity and joy. Beyond its colourful exterior, Holi holds deep cultural significance, representing the triumph of good over evil and change of weather to warmer days. It’s a time for communities to come together, celebrate, and let go of past grievances.

In honour of this festive occasion, I’ve composed a poem in Hindi, accompanied by its English translation.

होली की शुभकामना

आप सब को हमारी और से

होली की शुभकामना

जीवन में विविध रंग रहें

हो न मुश्किलों से सामना

पहला रंग सेहत का

जिससे रहे चेहरे का तेज

प्रफुल्लित रहे सदा मन

परिवार के समेत

दूसरा रंग प्रेम का

जो करे मन प्रसन्न

बना  रहे समंजस्य

जीवनसाथी के संग

तीसरा रंग खुशहाली का

जो घर में रखे धन धान्य

बना रहे समाज में

आप का मान सम्मान

हर रंग जीवन के सुमनों का

Good Wishes for Holi

Wishing you all from us,

A joyful Holi greeting.

May life be filled with colours diverse,

The first hue of health,

In the family’s warm flow.

The second shade, love’s embrace,

Bringing joy to the soul.

May harmony find its place,

With life’s companion whole.

The third tint, prosperity’s cheer,

Abundance within your abode.

May respect and honour appear,

In society’s grand code.

Every colour, the essence of life’s bloom,

Infuse fragrance into days.

In the poetry of existence, let’s assume,

Each moment brings novel ways.
